Custom Photo Image Room Dividers Are Now Available!

Urban Accents is now offering the ability to have your own custom photo/image printed on a 4ft, 6ft or 7ft tall room divider folding screen from 3 to 6 panels wide.  There are currently over 200 different pre-printed images on the website to choose from.  All of these screens are mass produced and imported from China.  Due to high customer demand, Urban Accents will be offering specialty graphic design and printing services for custom images for US based customers.  Customers can now choose from the preset size folding screens, choose from simply one image or a combination of images on the same screen.  Our technical staff team will provide basic digital cropping and touch ups so the image will fit to scale of the panels.  Starting at just $495, you can get a 4ft tall, 3 panel screen with one image in black & white, sepia, or a little extra for 4 colors.

For nearly six months, we have been interviewing a handful of selective artists throughout the country to partner with us to create commssioned pieces for our customers that have more specific needs.  We would like to introduce our new creative and visual director, Mr. Michael Adam Alpert.  Michael, is a well known professional muralist and illustrator residing in New York City.  His work is also well know on a national level.

As a muralist, Michael Alpert began experimenting with innovative ways to invigorate and energize everyday surroundings. He developed groundbreaking textures and finishes for the walls on which his murals were painted, expanding the palette of what was available in the medium. These textures would soon play a very apparent and expressive role in his paintings. Using sheetrock as his canvas and house paint as his medium, he painted portraits resulting in a highly dimensional interpretation of his subjects that has redefined traditional portraiture. His paintings of people, especially children, are raw and real, yet remain sensitive to detail; not only the surface details, but also exposing the interior life and emotions of his subjects. His focus on the eyes of his subjects displays a concise realism which transcends the visual and draws the viewer into the realm of the spirit. The result is a very honest living image.

Michael says of his work, “The eyes allow me entry into understanding who that child is, but then I must protect that innocence and vulnerability, so I drop veils of color over them."  Never content with the surface, Michael insists on understanding his subjects, conversing with them until their inner life is revealed. Michael received his training at the High School of Music Art, The Rhode Island School of Design and Pratt Institute, where he graduated with honors. He subsequently freelanced as an illustrator, working with Oscar De La Renta, American Express, Donna Karan, Neiman Marcus, and Arnell Bickford, to name a few.

His commercial work transitioned to larger mediums, and he was commissioned to paint huge murals for clients such as Sony Theatre, Magic Johnson Theatres, Planet Hollywood and numerous restaurants nationally and internationally.

Michael's partnership with Urban Accents will now give customers the opportunity to have their favorite image or images professionally enhanced to create a functional montage on a large folding portable folding screen.  Imagine creating a photo family tree, or a photo backdrop for a wedding, bar-mitvah, sweet sixteen, anniversary, funeral, corporate trade shows, engagement proposals and more.  The beauty of these custom screens is that they are big, unique, functional and portable unlike wall mounted art or photography.
